Suited to a WHV or resident who is immediately available Initial 6-month contract | circa $65 – $75/hour Flexible working arrangement | NFP environment The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Accountant to join a newly established and growing business to assist with getting the books audit ready, as well as future proof the finance function. This is a hands-on temporary role suited to a technically strong accountant who can quickly understand the business, take ownership of core accounting responsibilities and add value from day one. The role will support the finance team during a busy period and requires someone confident operating with autonomy. The Challenge In this role, your key responsibilities will include: Owning balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations with a high level of independence Supporting month end close and ensuring accuracy of financial data Maintaining general ledger integrity and resolving discrepancies Assisting with reporting, analysis and ad hoc finance support as required Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations The Expertise To be successful in this role, you will bring: Degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline CA or CPA qualification, or equivalent Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Financial Accounting role Strong Excel capability and confidence working with financial systems High attention to detail, accuracy and accountability Strong communication skills with the ability to operate across all levels of the business Ability to quickly learn business nuances and hit the ground running The Next Step If this position will enhance your career and you would like further details on the client, the role, remuneration or a copy of the position description, please call Elena Feist for a confidential discussion on .
